Tuesday, August 25, 2009 was a landmark day for the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce as more than 100 board members, Ambassadors, staff and partners attended a Chamber of the Year Celebration Day. The group had much to celebrate: the American Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) has recognized the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce as Chamber of the Year during ACCE's annual conference held in Raleigh, NC, thereby declaring it the top chamber of its size in the United States and Canada. Having announced the Chamber's award earlier this month at a news conference, Chamber staff and board members decided to host an official celebration day in honor of this achievement. "This award would not have been possible without the support of our entire partnership," said 2009 Chamber Board of Directors Chairman Todd Davis. "We're so grateful for everyone's continued involvement in the Chamber, and thereby in our business community. We're proud of the work we do, and it's a great day when we're able to recognize our achievements." Representatives from local, state and national government offices were present to congratulate the Chamber.
